The Trans(a)genda & evil propaganda

I’ve been following the recent transgender debate from the side-lines. Gender studies was never really my expertise, although I recognised the relevance of the theories for my work, especially in my doctoral studies which investigated lecturers’ teaching practice. I have been somewhat bewildered at the lack of critical thinking in the discussions about the trans-agenda, and the connections with the social-constructionist views of the world (and the well-established critiques of that worldview).

But this latest story about how US retailer Target is promoting explicitly trans/pride clothing to toddlers, leaves me beyond words. Neil McCoy-Ward has just posted an excellent summary (15 mins) of the current situation with Target. I recommend you watch it to stay informed with this crisis for our society. These are real dangers, not harmless words on ‘colourful clothing’. If children are being subjected to the normalisation of terms like ‘binding’ what are the consequences for their future well-being? How can the biological facts of our bodies be trampled on without people standing up for what is right? When is this insanity going to end and common sense prevail?
